multimodal curriculum

This series of workshops aims to stimulate ideas regarding the relationships between pedagogy, curriculum and assessment around the notion of multiliteracies. Objectives include:

1. To provide an examination of key issues in the concept of multiliteracies. Curriculum concepts and documents will be analysed through the focus of multiliteracies to investigate the processes of curriculum inquiry, planning, development and implementation. Various assessment practices will be interrogated for the possibility to accommodate for multiliteracies.

2. To offer hands-on interaction with school students in a multimedia-rich environment in order to consider the various dimensions of pedagogy, curriculum and assessment in a specific setting.

3. To enact the possibility of working collaboratively with a range of groups of people to ‘live’ curriculum and assessment.

4. To build a research framework into the work in order to productively engage the efforts of all involved groups around particular issues with regards to teaching, teacher education, research and schooling.
